- Develop, maintain and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory goals.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of raw materials (e.g., core, veneers, glue).
- Monitor production output, inventory levels, and capacity utilization, making real-time schedule adjustments as needed.
- Communicate schedule and changes effectively to production supervisors, maintenance, and shipping departments.
- Lead production planning meetings and provide clear updates on performance to plan.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, supply disruptions, and inefficiencies in the production flow.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage supplier lead times and optimize raw material ordering.
- Maintain accurate records and data in ERP or planning systems; generate reports for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, plant throughput, and material management.
- Be a key player in continuous improvement, aligning strategy with action.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing or wood products environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably plywood or panel production.
- Familiarity with raw material logistics in forestry or wood products industry; preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies; preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Data-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
