Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a steady 2nd shift opportunity in a growing manufacturing environment? QTI is seeking an experienced professional to join our client’s team in Watertown, WI. As part of the 2nd shift crew, you’ll be relied on to keep production moving by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of equipment and systems. Responsibilities:
- Support safe and efficient plant operations by following all safety and quality standards
- Inspect, test, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and PLC-driven systems
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance procedures
- Install, adjust, and troubleshoot both new and existing production equipment
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work and preventive tasks in the system
- Partner with fellow technicians, engineers, and supervisors to identify improvements in safety, equipment performance, and product quality
- Contribute to ongoing training, process improvements, and team development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment consistent with 5S standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting
- Strong background working with hydraulics, mechanical systems, and PLCs
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to think quickly under pressure
- Ability to read technical instructions and documentation and apply them effectively on the job
- Comfortable with computers (Word, Excel, Windows) for maintenance logging and reporting
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Physically able to stand for long shifts, bend, squat, reach overhead, and lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs)
