The QTI Group is excited to partner with a Madison-based technology company to hire a part-time Systems Administrator. This role will serve as a critical member of the IT support team for a growing healthcare software solutions provider and work to maintain all Linux infrastructure within an AWS environment.
Part-time Flexible Schedule: This is a project-based role averaging 5-10 hours per week, based on workload.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively maintain and configure all Linux infrastructure within an AWS cloud environment
- Serve as back-up to other IT personnel including AWS Cloud Administrator, including managing, coordinating and implementing software upgrades, patches and more
- Create and modify scripts/applications to perform automated tasks
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system issues for internal and external customers, minimize impact and unplanned downtime
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, both hardware and software, to identify technology lifestyle implicants and opportunities to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness and security
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience related to Linux system administration
- Deep knowledge and experience using Python and bash scripting languages
- Expertise and experience in implementation, configuration and testing of IT solutions
- Knowledge of HIPPA and IT security regulations preferred
- Red Hat Certifications strongly preferred
